Rainy days

Rain rain rain, its a non-stop thing these past few days. It makes the entire place look so gloomy and lifeless in many ways. Shades of grey cast skies overlap the landscape as far as one's eye can take you. Even the sun receives no mercy from the spreading of its monotone grasp.

Clouds hang above, looking down to earth in mockery of those who live beneath its mighty shade. Taunting people about days when the sun once shone upon them, and a glorious light beams across their hearts. Those days are seen now all but a distant memory, soon to be faded away by the times, facing an ending of no return.

All is woe under such conditions, and time seems to stand still amidst such conditions. It comes as no surprise that many long for the days when the sun was up in the sky to greet them in the morning. When the warmth and gentle rays bounce off the skin, such is the feeling that has many coming back for more.

Yet in the present, gloom is never ceasing. Cast above the like a portrait painted by a miserable artist, uninspiring at best, and loaded with worries it appears. One by one, raindrops splatter about, bringing the temperature to freezing level. Like a river flowing down from the sky, relentless in its movements, stopping at nothing, they keep falling.

In these trying days, it would seem that the rain will never end, as one stares out into the open. That the falling drops would ensnare all those under it with grasps of cold and heartless misery.

To the room, one must retreat. For escaping is only possible there. This is a time when one desires for the loving tender warmth of a dearly beloved. To feel its presense lift the dreadfully heavy air and fill the surroundings with that of peace and serenity.
